January 2008

Cloverfield is teh awesome

That's right, I said 'teh'. Going into leet speak has to account for something, right? Anyways, I finally saw Cloverfield last weekend by myself. Unfortunately, no one I know had any interest in seeing it, which kind of comes as a shock to me, because from the trailers this movie looked incredible. So I went by myself, which I don't mind, and saw this incredible movie. 5 out of 5.

AT&T Tilt and Pantech Duo

Jenny and I both got new cell phones this weekend. Both of our contracts were up and I wanted to add her onto my account to get a family plan sort of deal. Of course, when resigning you get good discounts on phones and accessories. I knew I wanted the AT&T Tilt and I wanted Jenny to get some type of smartphone. We finally settled on the Pantech Duo for her, and we both love our new phones.

Bender's Big Score - Honk if Bender is great!

One of the things I got for Christmas was the new Futurama DVD titled Bender's Big Score. As a HUGE Futurama fan, I would have purchased this DVD awhile ago, but with Christmas around the corner I wasn't allowed to buy myself anything. Having now received the DVD and upon watching it a couple times, I can easily say that Bender's Big Score is stupendous and just as great, if not better, than the TV series. Fans rejoice!

Web design vs. web development vs. content creation

Ever get the feeling that nothing ever gets done? No matter how much time you put into something, when it's done, you still feel like you're at step one. That's what I'm going through right now in terms of my web site. I keep jumping back and forth between web design, web development, and content creation. I want to accomplish it all but find the lack of time and priorities stuttering my progress.

Crysis was great...I think

Crysis was one of my most anticipated games of 2007, but with the holidays I haven't been able to get, or play, or review this game until now.  There were highs, there were lows, but overall I left the game feeling empty. And actually, as I write this review, I'm having trouble remembering any moments in the game that really stood out for me. But I'll try...

Upcoming PC games for 2008

Well, here we are already - 2008. I thought 2007 was a pretty good year for gaming, especially PC gaming, with the release of such games as The Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, Crysis, Bioshock, and Supreme Commander to name a few. And now looking forward to 2008, it looks to be another great year of gaming. Here are some of my most anticipated PC games for 2008.

What a way to end the year

The last few weeks have been extremely hectic for me. Of course with the holidays I was either out of town, visiting relatives, or having relatives come to visit me. And on top of that, my site goes down for several days, only to come back completely empty. And let's not forget the fact that my latest site backup was over a month old, and I've had close to zero face-time with my computer to fix anything.
