Jenny Tag

Picked up a new car

Yes, Jenny and I traded in her 2005 Civic for a brand new 2008 Honda Civic. Why? Because the old Civic already had 60,000+ miles on it and we wanted to trade it in while it still had some value to it. Plus, the new 8th generation Civics look so damn cool!

This is what 14 tons of rocks looks like

So, this weekend we finally started landscaping our backyard. When Jenny and I first bought our house the backyard was just dirt, and it's been nothing but dirt for the past year (unless it rains, in which case it turns to a nice, thick mud). But we finally got some money to start landscaping, so we first bought gravel to put in its place. It was a lot of work but it was well worth it.

AT&T Tilt and Pantech Duo

Jenny and I both got new cell phones this weekend. Both of our contracts were up and I wanted to add her onto my account to get a family plan sort of deal. Of course, when resigning you get good discounts on phones and accessories. I knew I wanted the AT&T Tilt and I wanted Jenny to get some type of smartphone. We finally settled on the Pantech Duo for her, and we both love our new phones.

I am now a homeowner

Wow, I never thought this day would come. Yesterday, March 22nd, at 5pm Jenny and I closed escrow and got the keys to our first house. After which, we went back to our current house, grabbed Abby (our dog), and rushed over to our new house. We then just hung out in our new, empty house for a few hours. It was awesome. Check out some pictures here.

Pictures of our new house

So Jenny and I recently bought a new house. It's still in escrow for the next few weeks but we were able to get into it today while they were doing an inspection, and take a lot of pictures. I uploaded the pictures to my gallery which you can view here >> Our new house. Again the house is still in escrow so we won't be able to move in until the end of March. It works out perfect though because the lease on our current house runs out at the end of April, so that gives us a solid month to move in. Moving sucks, but having a month to slowly and steadily do it will help.

Moving moving moving

Jenny and I are currently in the process of buying a new house to live in. Currently we live in a house that we rent from a property management company. We've lived here for the past 4-5 years, and think it's time to try and buy our own place. Why not? We currently have decent jobs that pay well, we're now married, and what we pay in our monthly rent can instead go to our monthly mortgage. Plus right now it's a buyer's market. We haven't found a house yet, but we're looking. Our lease is up at the end of April, so we're trying to find a house and move into it before then.

I got a bad case of crabs

Headcrabs that is! First it went after me but I was able to fend it off. Then it went after my dog Abby, but once it got a mouthful of fur it quickly bailed. Finally, it went after Jenny. As it leaped toward her head, she grabbed it and cuddled it fiercely. Damn, that seemed to tame the beast. And now it sits idly by on top of my monitor as I write this - starring at me - hovering above my beloved drunken smurf.

Do not let your wife find Xbox Live Arcade

My wife, Jenny was nice enough to buy me an Xbox 360 for Christmas and I couldn't be happier with her decision to do so. Jenny, like me, is a gamer. A hardcore gamer? No. But a gaming chick non-the-less. And us guy gamers know how hard it can be to find a girl who is smart, attractive, and most importantly, a gamer.

A night at the Ritz-Carlton

Saturday night Jenny's work had their annual Christmas party.  Pretty much like any company Christmas party, everyone from work shows up with their guests and we all get to see what everyone is like outside of the office.  This Christmas party though was pretty damn good.

Me and Jenny's wedding

October 27th, 2006 and about 4:45 pm me and my long time girlfriend Jenny got married.  So, people want to know exactly how the wedding went.  Did everyone show up?  Did everything that was planned work out accordingly?  How was the weather?  Any locust swarms?  Etc.  Click here for some pictures.

I'm a married man now

Yep, on October 27th at around 5pm Jenny and I finally got married.  Everything went perfectly for both the ceremony and the reception.  We have lots of pictures that need to be developed and uploaded to this site.  When that happens I'll let you all know.  Other than that, I really don't have too much time to talk about it right now.  I'll make a more proper post with lots more details when I have time.

Less than a month to go

With the wedding less than a month away things are starting to get hectic.  October 27th is the big day.  Jenny and I have most of the big items done and crossed off our list, but now we have to start worrying about all the little details.  This scares me more that the big stuff because it's usually the little things we forget.

Oh yeah, I'm getting married

Heh, Jenny was nice enough to let me know I didn't put this on my web site.  She was like, "Why didn't you put that you were getting married on your web site?" and I was like, "What?! Of course I did!" and she was like, "Uh, no you didn't." and I was like, "Look I'll show you! I'm not crazy!" and she was like, "ok".  So I start looking through my web site and was like, "...damn it...".

Happy 23rd B-day Jenny

Today is Jenny's birthday.  I hope she has a good birthday today - even though she's working all day today which sucks.  But's that's OK, this past weekend her parents came up and we celebrated with them.  Then this weekend we can celebrate again with our friends.
