The best non-main Futurama characters

With 2008 comes the brand new season of one of the best cartoon shows of all time, Futurama. So, to celebrate this new season, I decided to write an article about my favorite non-main Futurama characters. By non-main I mean, characters that have only shown up in a few episodes. Anyways, here are my top 5 favorite characters:

I miss Space Ghost

Coast to Coast to be exact. Space Coast: Coast to Coast was a damn funny cartoon/talk show that I used to watch late at night. Well, I haven't watched it on TV for the past couple of years. Mainly because it's on too late now. I believe it still airs Sunday night on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network) at around 1am. Well, I guess you can call that Monday morning rather.

IGNs top 25 primetime animated series

IGN recently released their picks for the top 25 prime time animated shows of all time.  You can check it out here.  I thought I would throw in my two cents on their choices.  Here we go.

Jeremy Soule wins at MTVs 2006 VMAs

But who is Jeremy Soule you ask?  Well in my opinion he's one of the greatest (if not the best) music composers for video games ever.  And last night Mr. Soule won the first annual MTV composer of the best video game score.  What game did he win for?  It was of course, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  From the mouth of the man himself:

Futurama gets 13 new episodes

Alright!  Best news I've heard all week!  Comedy Central has bought the rights for Futurama and is making 13 new episodes that will air in 2008.  Yeah, I know that's a long time away but it's actually happening.  Futurama is one of my favorite shows ever.  It's much smarter and more clever than most other shows out there.

The Simpsons take on creationism

Ha!  This is one of the reasons why The Simpsons remains to be one of my favorite shows ever.  In the newest episode aired tonight the Springfield school system was forced to teach an alternative to evolution called creationism or Intelligent Design.  As all us normal people know, creationism is NOT science and has no place in our school system.  Evolution on the other hand has indisputable scientific evidence to back it up and thus is apropriate to teach in a science class.

Homer gone wild

If you didn't catch the newest Simpsons episode last Sunday, then you missed a few awesome bits.  First was the live action intro sequence that used real life actors to re-enact The Simpsons famous intro.  You can watch this intro below:

Ruining classic cartoons

When I was a young kid in the 80's the cartoons were the best ever. I remember waking up on Saturday morning and watching kick ass cartoons, or coming home from a school day to watch some more kick ass cartoons. Oh man they were so cool! They'd be like "BAM!" and I'd be like "COOL!" and they'd be like "EEEERRRR CRASH!" and I'd be like "FUCK YEAH!". OK, maybe I didn't curse at the tender age of six, but if I knew how to curse at that time, I definately would of said it.

Good news everyone! Futurama has a future

I love Futurama. In fact the more I think about why I like it, the more I like it. I just find it to be extremely smart and funny. The shows creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen did a great job creating this show. Obviously Matt Groening also created The Simpsons - another one of my favorites - and brought all his talent over for Futurama.
