One of my favorite online communities, 9rules has gone through yet another transformation. I believe this makes three major changes since I became a member in 2006. And since then, and through all their changes, this most recent update (Vol. 3, Edition 1) is the best so far. So, be sure to head over there and check it out.

9rules is a community site that links to the best web content out there. I'm mainly talking about blogs here. It's a great place to share your blog's articles and read others.

Going back to their roots

I hate to say it, but I didn't like where 9rules was going with its previous updates. Prior to this release, 9rules also includes Notes (comments), Cliques (mini communities), and Clips (Diggs). For me it was all too much, and I felt that much of what 9rules was about, got lost.

Luckily, I wasn't the only one that felt this way - so did the team behind 9rules. And now we're back to the community that I love. All their other stuff (Note, Clips, etc.) got moved to another site called Chawlk.

So, I'd like to thank the folks behind 9rules (Mike, Scrivs, and Tyme) for going back to the 9rules that I enjoy. In some way I feel the motivation to start writing more now. Let's hope that motivation stays put.
