Attacking Obama: American flag removed from plane

This is the first article in a series that I plan to do to help debunk or clarify a lot of the smears and mud-slinging done towards Barack Obama. First up, the horrible travesty that is the missing American flag image from Obama's plane.

I guess you can say people who are blindly supporting John McCain are running out of ways to try and smear Barack Obama. Instead of focusing on the bigger issues like policies, some McCain supports are taking a more trivial route. Case in point: The horror that occurred when Obama removed the American flag from the tail of his airplane.

Here's the basic jist of the email I received regarding this betrayl:

Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757. And as part of the new design, he decided to remove the American flag from the tail...

What American running for President of the United States would remove the symbol of his country? And worse, he replaced the flag with a symbol of himself.

Below is a picture of Obama's plane. Those with small children or who are blindly patriotic should divert their eyes:

Barack Obama's campaing plane

Pretty bad, eh? Well, not really. Actually, not at all. All you people bitching and moaning about this are being completely ridiculous. Are trivial things like this really going to make your decision on who should be the next American president? If they do, then as much as I hate to say it, you probably shouldn't be voting.

Finally, let's take a look at John McCain's campaing plane shall we:

John McCain's campaing plane

While this picture doesn't show it, there actually is a small flag shown towards the bottom rear of the plane. But let's not also forget the the flag that was on Obama's plane was the logo for the company that manufactured that plane. Obama simply replaced their logo with his own.

To be serious, lots of people are basing their votes on stupid shit like this. This is why I cannot stress enough how important it is to do your own research on the candidates and make your own logical conclusion. Do not be persuaded by these partisan emails or major media outlets.

I'm convinced Obama will lose the election for one simple reason.
He has no concrete set of plans.
It seems like he changes his stances on issues daily.
Don't get me wrong I started as an avid supporter of Obama.
But as time went on and with his constantly shifting stances I'm not sure he can keep my support. I invite you to go to both websitees for the canidates view their stances and then view their voting records. You;; see quickly whom you would support. Words and actions are two different things. That something both candidates need to remember.

Just an FYI. Mccain's plane has a flag on the tail. The same place Obama's had before he had it removed. Not that this should really matter.

Has anyone noticed that while the symbol/picture on the tail of Obama's plane is not an American flag, it is still red, white, and blue?

Anthony,

The only thing that Obama has done that pissed me off a bit was his flip-flop on FISA. But Obama's flip-flopping or "shifting stances" is nothing compared to McCain. Check out this link: http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/flipflops, and tell me, if you think Obama will not be selected because of his shifting stances, then what will happen to McCain - one of the most flip-flopping politicians I've ever seen?

And you are right about McCain's plane, it does have a small flag on the bottom sides of it. And on another note, the flag that was on Obama's plane was a company logo of the plane's manufacturer. Obama simply replaced their logo with his own. But again, this doesn't really matter.

As I said before. Obama's issue is that he is attempting to come off as a new type of politician (I support this) but he is falling into the old game of politics. I attached a blogspot with numerous obama changes (there are better sources this was just the easiest due to it being first in my google search. The major differences in the canidates is perception. McCain although being able and willing (and has) walked both party lines tp complete the will of the people versus a new face and potential new way of thinking in Washington (god that would be great). The problem is the more I read Obama's speeches the more I think maybe he is just another normal politician.

Obama... candidate of change.
So, what is he proposing to change, and what will he change it TO?
He will change his position to get votes.
Remember the last time we had a president who wet & stuck his
finger up in the air to sense the winds of change and adjust
his policy to remain popular?

We elect them to LEAD, not to follow, The idea is that they have
info we don't, and they make decisions that represent us.

The fact that cardboard sign posted along the side of the road
with candidates names on them influences election ouctomes
should tell you something.

I can just see it now "He had really nice looking campaign signs, I'll
vote for him".

I hate those signs.
