After many months of worrying despair, it looks like the guys behind the HL2 mod: Black Mesa Source have finally released some new updates and media.  This was definitely a sigh of relief.  This mod looks incredible and I cannot wait to play it.  I was worried that the mod might of died due to the lack of news or updates on their site.

For those who don't know, Black Mesa Source is a mod that recreates the original Half-Life game in the new Half-Life 2 Source Engine.  Valve did release something similar called Half-Life: Source, but it was pretty much exactly the same has the original Half-Life but with some fancy shadows and water effects.  Nothing too impressive at all.  But Black Mesa Source takes this same concept and instead recreates the entire Half-Life game in the Source engine.  We're talking updated level design, models, characters, music, etc, etc, etc.  Extremely impressive stuff.

I hope this mod gets released sometime soon.  I can't wait to play it.  Yes, I know I'll just be replaying the original Half-Life game (which I've already done a countless amount of times), but I love Half-Life and this mod is just too good to pass up.
