Come on D-Backs!

D-Backs sweep the Cubs

My team is in and showing everyone what they're capable of. Not only did the Diamondbacks (D-Backs) win their division in the National League West, but now they just sweep the Cubs to continue their domination of the National League. Next in their site is the Colorado Rockies - a team that's won 17 out of their last 18 games. I was hoping the D-Backs wouldn't have to face the Rockies, but it looks like we're in for a very tense series with them. I can't wait!

Back to the series we just won, I must say I enjoyed watching the D-Backs and Cubs battle it out. It seemed that all three games had very suspenseful moments where I glued to the TV. For example, in Game 3, where the Cubs were down by 2 with one out and our pitcher, Hernandez, just walked the bases loaded. I admit I was yelling at Hernandez. "What the hell are you doing!? Stop it!" If the Cubs hit a single they could of easily scored two runs and tie the game. Or if Hernandez walked another batter, he would of walked a run in. All the Cub fans in the stadium were on their feet, hoping that they can pull through. I couldn't look. But in the end, the Cubs hit into a perfect double play ball where we got the two remaining outs and ended the inning.

I, of course, shouted and jumped for joy as the D-Backs returned to the dugout while all the Cub fans just stood their in disbelief. Some people call baseball boring, but in my mind no other sport has ever produced more suspenseful moments than the ones we encounter in baseball. I love this game.

D-Backs sweep the Cubs

What I don't love about this game are the playoff announcers. The extremely biased announcers that obviously want the Cubs to win and the D-Backs to go home. They constantly talk crap about the D-Backs while praising the Cubs. If a questionable call goes in the D-Backs favor, the announcers will watch the replay 100 times from every angle to try and show that the ump was wrong and the Cubs should of got the call. But with the replay even showing the D-Backs won that play, the announcers are still in disbelief. I do hate listening to them, but in the end I love laughing at them as the D-Backs dominate the Cubs.

So, with the Cubs out of commission we now have to face the Rockies - a team that's going to put up a damn good fight. If we beat them then we become National League champs and go on to the World Series. I can see this team going all the way, let's just hope they do.

Beating the Cubs isn't really hard to do. But I guess go D-Backs!

Well according to the announcers on Saturday, the Cubs are awesome and the D-Backs suck.  "Looking at they're record it's hard to imagine why they are here."  Really?!  We won the National League West, we have the best record in the National League, and the 4th best record in all of baseball this year.  Now is it really surprising we've come this far?  No.  I think TNT and TBS need to get some new announcers, maybe some that know their facts and at least attempt to be unbiased.

The D-Backs are awesome!  They've done a great job this year.  Now to beat the Rockies!
