Give me Team Fortress 2

For me Team Fortress Classic (or TFC as it's more commonly known) was one of my favorite multiplayer games ever. For it's time it was a damn fun, addicting, and great game. I remember sitting in front of my computer and playing round after round for hours; until my eyes dried out and my contacts were killing me. That was fun. I had a 14.4 baud modem and an itchy trigger finger. I always played as either a Sniper or Soldier. 2fort was of course the best map (for both Snipers and Soldiers), followed by Dustbowl. When ever I think about TFC I want to play it. Unfortunately though, I was usually away from home at that time.

For awhile TFC fell off my radar and I didn't play it for years, nor did I even think about it. Until Valve showed us Team Fortress 2 (TF2). I admit, I was a little skeptical at first. It was completely different looking and kind of threw me off. But after watching several game play videos I'm glad to see the game looks to play extremely close to the original. All the character classes are still there along with the fast paced action and flying gibs. And now I love the cartoon-ish path Valve has taken for the game. I couldn't image TF2 looking any other way. And to tell you the truth, without it's cartoon-ish looks and feel, this multiplayer game probably would of blended in with ever other team-based game out there.

Anyways, the game looks fantastic and it's one of my most anticipated games of the year. October 9 is coming up and if Valve doesn't push the date back, you can bet what game I'll be playing on that day (along with some Episode Two and Portal). Valve also released a new video for TF2 about the Soldier. Check it out below along with an older video of the Heavy Weapons Guy. I can't wait for them to release more of these videos. Happy gibbing!
