Got to disagree with most of the other comments. I bought my Xbox 360 primarily to be used as an extender.

I've been using it most days for the last 5 months and had no freeezing problems and it's meant that I have increadibly easy access to all my media.

Yep, really bad freezing issues when using the Extender and Windows Vista Ultimate. Cant seem to resolve it :(

My Xbox 360 freezes whenever I use Media Center. It is really annoying, as this is one of the main reasons I got Vista. Oh well, back to the drawing board...

Media Extender is CRAP how can you say these things. It cant even play DIVX/XVID files, pretty pointless

I came across your page while researching this topic before I buy an Xbox. Questions to you: 1) Do you have your PC and Xbox connected to your home network? I am wireless with my laptop and thinking of wired for the Xbox. 2) Are you able to play protected music through your Xbox. I subscribe to Urge and don't really have any music of my own.
