My new gaming PC

Ok, so it's not exactly a new PC. I built this PC a few months ago. This computer kicks ass, and should last me a couple of years before I have to upgrade again.

ooOOoo, purdy!

I bought all the parts from the horrible, HORRIBLE company TigerDirect (see why I hate them here). After their crappy service I finally got the PC put together and it has been running flawlessly ever since. Below are the basic specs:

  • AMD-64 3800+ CPU
  • Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
  • Aspire Blk/Sil X-Navigator 21 Alum w/500w case
  • Toshiba 16x Dual Layer DVD +/- RW OEM
  • 1GB DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel RAM
  • 200GB SATA Hard Drive
  • Nvidia 7800 GTX PCI-express video card

This computer has beaten every game that I've thrown at it. High quality games like Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Guild Wars, and even the F.E.A.R. demo I can run at max settings with incredible frame rates. This PC should take me into the next generation of games with little or no hic-ups at all.

Plus, it looks so cool!

Thats a pretty cool setup, very similar to mine (below)...

Intel Celeron processor

I-Media Case

LG 52X DVD ROM OEM

Phililps 52X DVD-RW Dual Layer

1256GB DDR PC 3200 RAM

300GB OEM Hard Drive, 320 GB Ext Hard Drive.

Neat!  I'm building a new gaming comp next month ... I've still working out the kinds with the setup ... but the list of components are on my site.

Athlon 4600+ 2GB of G.Skill 800, 500 gb SATA 300, Geforce 7950 GT 512MB ... plus a new samsung 22" LCD w/ 2ms response time ... :)  I'm so psyched cause my current computer keeps crapping out on me ... :(
