Yea! My main computer decided to stop working yesterday. The computer just will not turn on. This a gaming computer that I built several months ago. It has been working fine since I built the system. I haven't moved, touched, or even opened the case in the past few months. Then one day I get home from work, press the power button to turn on the computer, and nothing happens.
Talk about frustrating. I spent all last night trying to figure out and fix my computer. I still cannot figure out what's wrong. I'm pretty sure it's one of two things. It's either the power supply, or it's the motherboard. I'm hoping it's the power supply. I've been wanting to get a new power supply anyways and they're not that expensive.
On the other hand, if it's the motherboard then I'm going to be pissed. The motherboard has a 3 year warranty from the manufacturer on it, but collecting on that warranty is a pain in the ass. First I have to call ASUS and tell them the motherboard isn't working. They're going to make me talk with their tech support to determine if the motherboard is really at fault here. Once they see the motherboard is faulty, then they'll give me a return shipping address and authorization number. I then have to package up the motherboard, ship if off to them, wait for them to process it, then ship me a new one in return. It could be several weeks before I get this computer up and running again.
So let's hope that's not the case. And without this computer I can't check some of my e-mail, so if you don't get a reply from me you'll know why.

Why I still like Dell
Aaaaagggghhhhh! I don't think I can go a "few" weeks without the nice computer. As I type this I'm using the old one with the small monitor, funny keyboard, and no email or music (so there is some but not all of the music, and the speakers suck.). I'm praying for it to be the power supply.
