Yea!  Finally after several months I finally got another camera.  It's a  Canon PowerShot SD630.  My older digital camera (Nikon CoolPix) died on me a few months ago.  I don't know what happened.  Just one day the camera wouldn't turn on.  This was an older camera that we had for 3 or 4 years, so it was kind of out dated and I wanted a new one anyways.

With the new camera I knew I wanted a Canon.  Why?  I don't know.  Canon cameras always seem to get the highest reviews.  Plus they've been making cameras forever.  I decided to get a simple camera for the time being.  Just a nice small, light, and thin camera that I can easily take with me.  The Canon Powershot was the answer.

It takes really sharp pictures at 6.0 megapixels.  It also records video and sound up to 640x480 AVI format.  I took a little video of Abby (dog) and it turned out really, really nice.  Of course you can only take as much video as your memory card can handle.  I got a 1GB SD card with the camera, which allows for a few hundred pictures at 1600x1200 or a 9 minute video.
