Our 7 year anniversary

Today is me and Jenny's 7 year anniversary. 7 years? That's a hell of a long time. It's been a good 7 years though, so no complaints from me. I'm really glad I have Jenny in my life. Without her, who knows where I'd be right now (probably stuck in Havasu living with my parents).

Jenny and I first met during my junior year of high school (her sophomore year). We dated and were together for the rest of my high school experience. I graduated in 2000 and Jenny still had one more year of school. I stuck around in Havasu for that remaining year mainly because Jenny was still in school, plus I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life - I wasn't interested in going to a university or anything.

Once Jenny graduated High School, she wanted to go to ASU in Phoenix. This was good as I found a school up in Phoenix as well that would help determine my future in the computer/tech field. So in 2001 we moved up to Phoenix. At that time my dad worked 4-5 days a week up in Phoenix, so me and him moved in together. Jenny moved into some school housing near ASU with three other girls.

For about a year we lived like this and me and Jenny only really got to hang out on weekends. It kind of sucked, but it was better than being three hours away from each other. After that year our leases were up and we moved in together. The rest is....the rest. I graduated from school and started a decent job and Jenny is still working through school. We've now lived together for 3-4 years and can still tolerate each other quite well.

Anyways, enough ramblings. Anniversaries are now a good reason to spend money on each other! Jenny has a nice 2005 Honda Civic that we drive constantly. It has a stock stereo that I never liked, so I bought her a new CD player/deck. Now her stereo sounds much better and I can rock out while driving. I'm still waiting for my present. I know what it is and I'll make another post when I get it.

Yeah 7 years sounds like a long time, but in reality it doesn't feel like 7 years. Time is flying by.
