Spore preview

The creator of one of the most popular games ever (The Sims) has been working on a new video game that aims to break through current video game boundries.  The game is called Spore and the creator is named Will Wright.

In this game you help control a species or organism and help it evolve through its generations.  For example, you start with a one-celled organism and help it survive, feed, replicate, and eventually evolve into something more complex.  As lots and lots of time goes on you continue to help evolve your creature until it can walk on land, create tribes, cities, and even interstaller travel.  Hell yeah.

I think this game was first revealed at last year's E3 convention.  Some screenshots and minor info about the game was shown, as well as a 35 minute video.  Well I recently saw this gameplay video of Spore for the first time and was amazed.  Check out the video >> Spore Gameplay Video

The game should be released by the end of 2006 (Q4) and thanks to this video I'm looking to buy this game when it comes out.

I watched the video and it looks really cool.  It should be a really interesting game when it comes out.

Well, it's different, that's for sure.  I didn't get excited until I saw how far out into space you can go.
