I have grass in the front yard, and had grass in my backyard at another house. While I like grass, it's just a pain in the ass to take care off. Our backyard soil is mostly clay and rock, so growing grass is a big pain. For the areas that have too much shade to grow anything, we've always wanted to do a nice flagstone patio but put it in ourselves to save money. When I have a few weekends free this summer I may do just that.
