WebNV has been ripped

Wow. That's the first thought that came to my mind when I found a few sites that looked oddly familiar. Wow. Followed by a big grin and a feeling of flattery that I've never felt before. These sites that I found put me in shock; a good shock. Not one created out of anger, but one stemmed from...well, the best word would be, unbelievable. That's right kids - WebNV has been ripped.

When I say ripped or copied, I mean from a design stand point. My current WebNV design has been duplicated on a few other sites on the web. I guess that's what happens when you showcase your design on several different CSS gallery sites. Again, I'm not angry, but instead, extremely happy and flabbergasted. Someone out there actually found my site and liked the design so much that they wanted their site to look the same, or close to it.

Anyways, here are the sites. And to the owners of these sites, just remember if you make it big, I want some credit...or money...or both. j/k

Does this web site look familiar?

Well it is a very nice layout, I'd certainly consider it if I hadn't already picked something for my blogs. Very bad form from the copycats though, if you hadn't released the layout for free use.

Hi there.

I am the owner of ipodnanomart.com and just wanted to explain that when I first did that website, I was brand spanking new to website design and was looking for some inspiration. I came across your website and really liked the clean design of it.

I actually no longer use that design and have created my own concept. It was really just a learning process for me. I actually tested several different designs in order to learn CSS and php. You can see the end result:

I don't really want to be labeled in a bad way and hope that you understand that I was just trying to learn.

p.s., the website hasn't made me any money :(
