I just cannot believe some of the things I have been reading from some “Christians” blogs lately. These people are flippin’ insane! No question about it. Not only are they insane, but they scare the crap out of me. I cannot believe people like this exists in the world are some are in power.

Now I know not every religious person is like this. The people I’m talking about above and just extremists and really have no place in this world. What would this world be like without a couple of wackos.

Take a look at my new favorite site to visit, ShellytheRepublican.com. They are a Christian, conservative, George W. loving web site. Which is fine, until they start talking about things they don’t like. Some of the things they don’t like include gays, liberals, democrats, any country outside the USA (including Europe and Canada), and Linux just to name a few. Yes that’s right Linux – the open-source operations system up against Windows. So far, so crazy.

They also like to try and debunk a bunch of ‘liberal myths’ including global warming, oil shortages, and smoking. Yep, according to them there is no such thing as global warming, we will never run out of oil, and smoking is not bad for you. Apparently, all us conservative, republican, Americans need to worry about is what’s in the bible. A fictional book written a few thousand years ago, and rewritten a bunch of times has more pull than any current, real life issues surrounding us today. Ok.

Let’s talk about their view on smoking. First off, smoking is gross and everyone with a brain knows that smoking is not good for you. But according to ShellytheRepublican, there is no proof that smoking is bad for us. What kind of demented world do these people live in? They just completely ignore scientific facts and instead live on faith and other magical feelings.

Today I proudly proclaim my support for the smokers’ rights! I am a smoker myself. I smoked my first cigarette when I was 14 and I never regretted it. I also smoke around my children and during pregnancy, and my children grow up just fine!

I’ll laugh when her and her kids die of lung cancer.

These are the same crazy people that talked about video games and their ‘liberal tyranny’. They pretty much want to strip us of all our rights, take away any scientific facts, and turn us into a god fearing, religious country. No. Not going to happen.

Also, apparently podcast are also evil and part of the liberal media. Also oral sex is Satan in disguise. Digg.com is a liberal hacker site from hell, Harry Potter is your ticket to hell and will cause your kids to commit suicide. Linux is a European threat to America’s national IT security (WTF?). Speaking of Europe, they are liberal hell apparently as well as Canada.

Whew! These people are without a doubt insane. Let’s hope these people never get into any type of power position. Like NOFX said, “No compromise. No site through others eyes. They’re just flies spreading pieces of shit.” The great thing about not being religious or labeling myself with political names like conservative or republican is that I can go either way. I’m open minded. I’m not filled with hate or fear.

So let’s get back to the title of this post. Who scares you more? Who would you rather have running this country or world?
