Yeah, the on-board sound thing is a good idea. But I still dual boot with XP, so I dont want to have to keep swapping my speaker wires back and forth. The Creative beta drivers are OK for now. Catherine, Creatives installer program did not work for me either. I had to run the installer which unpacks the drivers to a temp folder (usually Windows\temp). Then I went into my Device Manager and manually installed the drivers from there. Thats the only way I could get the drivers installed and working.

Yeah I got it installed yesterday, but I can't get the drivers for my Audigy 2 at all :( and now it also keeps telling me I need to put in the windows disc or something so it can find something, not too sure whats going on so I think I'm gonna actually make a dvd and install vista all over again as I'm not having too much luck with it.
I can't even get windows live messenger to work on it, everything else seems to run fine, and it's such a pretty OS I really want to use it, but if I can't get messenger or sound it's pretty much useless at the moment :P
Plus I can't seem to find any drivers for my printer/scanner thingy and if I can't get that working it's a bit poo.
Nice to know its working good for you tho ^_^.

If you've got onboard sound try enabling that, most people have had better luck getting more than two channels to work. With the quality of Creative's drivers you probably won't stand to lose any performance. It'll probably have drivers in-box or on Windows Update - lord only know why Creative insist on users having to manually download drivers with all their bloat.

Oh if you're wondering why you can't sync your Smartphone with Outlook it's because the components aren't ready yet. They should automatically install when your Smartphone is connected in the next 2 or 3 weeks, they'll go out over Windows Update.
