An open letter to Valve

Valve, it’s been awhile now since you guys released Half-Life 2: Episode One, and my patience is starting to wear thin. You can only play through this game so many times before it get repetitive (count 8 times for me). Now I’m waiting for Episode Two, which looks amazing by the way, and will probably blow the previous episode out of the water. We’re talking bigger, and more open environments, new enemies, weapons, and vehicles. Updated graphics, AI, and physics. Plus, the answering of more of those famous Half-Life questions. Like WTF is is going on!? FEED ME INFO ON THE DAMN G-MAN!!

Ehem, sorry. You say Half-Life 2: Episode Two should be out sometime the end of this year, like September?. But knowing you and your eye for perfection, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get pushed back again. That’s right, again! Like all of Valve’s titles, Episode Two has been delayed a few times. None of this is really surprising news, but it’s still painful to witness. *sigh*

Right now my pc gaming is kind of at a stand still. I’ve been playing through some of my older games, and while they are fun, they’re still not as entertaining as say….a brand new, kick you in the ass game. Besides Episode Two, I’m also talking about Portal, and of course Team Fortress 2. I know you’re planning on releasing all three games at the same time, and that’s why I say hurry up Valve! I need gamingzz and playingzz! I need my first person shooter fix – my fragging fix – my Freeman fix – my puzzle fix – my sniper fix!

Please help take me out of this real life world that I’ve grown too accustom with. Seriously, I need to escape into the ravages that is the outlands of City 17. I need to go through some very cool, very puzzling, and very frustrating portals. I need to release my inner child and let it run free in the amazing looking cartoon 2fort map. You hold the key. I’m sure the games current states are…good enough for release. I can deal with a few bugs here and there. I won’t complain, I swear!

Thanks for taking the time to read this letter. Now I must go back to my older games or…..watch….god forbid, primetime TV *shivers*.

Signed,
